Sandy's Story

If you're looking for THE perfect family dog or your new bestie, look no more! Sandy is sweet, loveable, eager to learn, snuggly, super smart, gentle, and LOVES her humans. In a very short time, she has learned to go potty outside, sit, wait, and walk on a leash. She is crated during the workday, and currently sleeps on a dog bed in a bedroom. The ONLY time she barks is when she is ready to come inside from the backyard (fenced, of course!). She loves running around the yard and checking out the world.
Sandy would do best in a home where someone is around a lot during the day or she would be a fabulous take your dog to work pup! Sandy is not a fan of the crate, but she will settle in eventually. She is very food motivated, which makes training a breeze! Seriously, Sandy is very attentive and wants to please. She responds very well with praise. Sandy is fabulous on leash and enjoys walks!
Snuggles? Yes please. Sandy can't get enough of them. ""Pet me all day please and I'll be your bestie!" One thing you should know about Sandy is she LOVES to chew! Toys, bones, any and all footwear that is not put away (humans fault). As she grows she is learning to stick to her yummy bones.
Sandy does not like a lot of the city noises and is learning to be ok with them. Yummy treats are helping her desensitize. However...she does fine with a loud thunder storm!
Ready to meet the BEST girl ever? Just look at those heart-melting eyes!!!!
If you would like to meet Sandy, please visit spotslaststop.org and fill out an application.
