Meet Samuel, aka Sammy! At 2 years old and 45 pounds, Sammy is a sweet, easygoing guy who seems to have decided that everyone he meets is a potential new friend.<br/><br/>He’s calm, low-energy, and wonderfully social. Sammy happily says hello to people on walks, greets visitors at the door like the little gentleman he is, and has been great with other dogs with no reactivity. He currently lives with a canine foster sibling and loves following her around the house just to see what she’s up to.<br/><br/>Sammy is fully potty and crate trained, walks beautifully on leash without pulling, and already knows sit, stay, no, “let’s go,” and even “outside?” He’s happiest with a pretty simple routine: a good walk, some backyard time, a little sunbathing, dinner, another stroll, and then his favorite part of the day — curling up right next to his person.<br/><br/>He hasn’t really decided that toys are his thing yet. People, however? Very much his thing. Sammy loves affection, snuggles, and being talked to. Seriously — start chatting with him and you’ll get the happiest little wiggle butt and a huge smile in return. His foster says he looks at you like you’re the center of his world, and strangers have even stopped to comment on how happy he looks.<br/><br/>Leave the room for a few minutes and come back? According to Sammy, this is cause for a full reunion celebration.<br/><br/>He’d be happy in an apartment or a house and would especially love a calm home where he can spend plenty of time close to his people.
