Back in August, this handsome shepherd joined our rescue skinny and missing quite a bit of hair. Fast forward two months, and Samuel is thriving! He has put on weight, grown back so much of his beautiful fluffy coat, and is looking better every day. He still has a few patches that are missing hair, but hair growth takes time, and we’re so proud of how far he has come. We estimate Samuel is around 6 years old.<br/><br/>Samuel is a really good boy, and honestly, we’re shocked he hasn’t been scooped up yet! With his sweet eyes, fluffy coat, and love for life, this guy is going to make a family very happy.<br/><br/>Samuel will need a home without cats or small dogs, but he does great with larger dogs. He spends his days playing outside with his foster friends, although most of the time you’ll find him happily self-entertaining with a toy. Samuel LOVES stuffies! Whether you’re throwing them for him or he’s just trotting around with one proudly hanging out of his mouth, he is always happy to have a toy nearby. He’s even good at sharing them with his friends, and he isn’t shy about sticking his nose into bags as he walks by to see if there might be a new toy hiding inside. You never know what treasures you might find!<br/><br/>When the weather is warm, Samuel also becomes a big fan of the hose. Chasing the water, trying to catch it, and generally having the time of his life is one of his favorite activities—and it’s pretty hilarious to watch!<br/><br/>Samuel has enjoyed everyone he has had the chance to meet. He’s a smart, silly, playful guy who has come such a long way and deserves a family of his own.
