Sampson's Story

Sampson (a.k.a. Sammy, Sam, Sam-Sam): Serious, dignified... also a bit goofy... really loving... calm... and full of fun. Everything you'd want rolled into this one gorgeous package! Who could resist? Not Delilah, not you!

Sammy is ready to get out and on to his loving new family, one that enjoys hikes and adventures and also loves to relax and cuddle when it's time. Sam-Sam loves sniffing and exploring as much as he does jogging on the neighborhood paths. He enjoyed some of his favorite activities on a recent outing. He was only a tiny bit hesitant to hop in the car but then rode around like he'd been doing it forever. Walking or jogging through the neighborhood, he completely ignored the pups he passed in their yards. Just a cool nose in the air and full-speed ahead.

Later after downing a big bowl of water, Sam was ready to relax under the gazebo on the cool concrete... or the lap of his favorite volunteer! In fact, sitting on a bench with his back to you is another of his preferred activities because that makes it easy for you to give him lots of "scritches" and massages! In the grass, he'll roll over for tummy rubs and end up giving you plenty of thank-you kisses.

Sampson lived with another dog in the past, but a meet-and-greet with family pets is always
recommended. Think he could be your future cuddle companion/adventure buddy? An Adoption Angel thinks he's a great match and paid his adoption fee for you. So come "judge" for yourself.

The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is open every day from noon until 6pm (excluding limited holidays/events). You can meet our animals with the convenience of an appointment or as a walk-in. Appointments can be made by emailing adoption@wilco.org.

Interested in fostering a dog in need? Join our foster team here: https://www.wilcotx.gov/390/Fostering, then click "Foster Questionnaire."

We always welcome your dogs to come and visit our dogs, too! We will see you at 1855 SE Inner Loop, Georgetown, TX 78626.
