Sampson's Story

Sampson is a Male fawn/chocolate fawn 3 year old (vet estimate). He Was abandoned on the side of the road and ended up in animal control. He was underweight, missing all the hair on his ears and different parts of his body, was depressed and in poor health. We took him in our rescue and immediately started on vet care and getting him better. Since being with us the last 5+months we have him on the right track. We have done allergy testing, he’s been neutered, microchipped, updated on Dhpp, Bordetella, and rabies vaccine, he is heartworm negative and on prevention. His hair is growing back on his ears and all the rough spots on his body. He has gained weight and muscle. He is housebroken, crate trained, good with dogs and kids. He loves to go on car rides. The only negative is he will need to be fed separately from other dogs. Due to his past trauma and being so underweight and malnourished he is protective over his food. Not with people. Only dogs. We have found that cytopoint injections helped him even through his environmental allergy test didnt show any significant issues with environmental related allergies. He can have those every 8 weeks or as needed. The vet said he may never need another one but it will be hard to know. Only time will tell. He is a super easy and loyal dog. Short and stocky with a big head. Haha. He is really turning out to be a great looking frenchie.
His adoption fee is $750 to help cover the cost of medical and care

Adoption Includes:
All dogs go to their new homes spayed/neutered, microchipped, current on all vaccines and dewormings, hearworm negative, 3months of heartworm prevention, 3months of flea/tick prevention, a copy of all vet paperwork to show everything we have done, and a goodie bag. The goodie bag includes things like food, treats, toys, chew bones, blanket, collar, leash, and other things to get you started.

Our Adoption Procedures:
If interested in applying for adoption, you will complete a short adoption application form and send to us, once reviewed and approved we will set up a meet and greet with the dog you are interested in adopting, if the meet and greet goes well, then we move forward to completing the adoption paperwork and you taking your new family member home.

Other Information:
We will always take our dogs back. We want to ensure they are safe for life, so there is never a time that we won't gladly help them. We do allow out of state adoptions but the adopter must meet us and the dog in person, we do not send our dogs on transport or to new homes without meeting the adopter. We are working on our 501c3 non-profit status but this takes time. Unfortunately, due to this our adoption fees are higher than we would want but since we have to pay for vetting, care, and supplies out of our own pockets and cannot request donations/grants we must get enough from the adoption fees to cover the cost. Note: Some dogs do not require as much cost for us to care/vet but others do; any adoption fees paid for a dog helps not only cover the cost put into that dog but the cost for others that may require more medical assistance. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions or concerns
