Meet Sammy!<br/><br/>Sammy is a high-energy dog who would love a very active home! Sammy is used to regular walks and would enjoy a fenced-in yard to run free or a regular routine with good exercise or other physical enrichment to keep her happy and stimulated. <br/><br/>Sammy is a super sweet dog; however, she does not like being around cats. She has a history of chasing kitties and showing a little too much interest, so she would do best in a feline-free home. Sammy is friendly with new people although she does bark a bit at first. She has had some mixed interactions with children in the past. She can be very jumpy when she sees kids and doesn't always realize her size and strength. She did well with children in her original home but may take time and caution to warm up to new kiddos. All introductions should be done slowly to any new people or pets in the home- ask a staff for tips!<br/><br/>Sammy would love to have durable toys to chew on and keep her entertained. Patient and consistent training using treats is a good way to work on obedience cues. Ask a TCHS staff about suggestions for the perfect toy for your new friend from the TCHS Re-Tail Shoppe.<br/><br/>*Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling (320) 252-0896. An adoption hold reserves available animals for one day after the animal is ready to be adopted. More than one adoption hold may be placed on an available animal and will be honored in the order they were received. Adoption holds are $25 plus tax, are non-refundable, non-transferable and not applied toward the adoption fee.<br/><br/>**Minnesota sales tax and an administrative fee ($20 for cats/dogs and $10 for small animals) will be applied to all adoptions. Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, vaccinating, deworming, any medical procedures, and general care of all shelter animals.
