SAMMY's Story

✨ ADOPTABLE SAMMY ✨

✨ Meet Sammy ✨
Age: 6 years
Breed: Chihuahua mix
Weight: 18 lbs

Sammy is a sweet little guy who just needs someone willing to give him a chance. He is very cuddly with his foster mom and, once he feels safe, his playful and loving personality shines. He loves playing with his toys and can be a very fun, silly companion.

Sammy is still learning that the world is a safe place. He has nervous anxiety around adult men, which can come out as growling at first — but he has shown that with patience, he can open up. He has slowly learned to trust his foster brother and now even goes in for pets, which is a huge milestone for him.

Fast-moving things like cars, bikes, and joggers can make walks overwhelming, but his foster mom works with him daily to build his confidence. Quick movements in the home can also startle him, so an adult-only, calm household is recommended to help him feel most secure.

One wonderful thing about Sammy? He has absolutely no separation anxiety. He can be left home alone and does just fine — calm, independent, and content.

He also gets along great with other dogs, including his foster cousin Linus, and could enjoy having a furry friend around.

Sammy will thrive with someone who sees his potential and is ready to continue the gentle, steady support he’s been getting. If you’re patient and looking for a playful, cuddly, and sweet companion to grow with, Sammy might just be the one. 💛
