Sammy's Story

Sammys an 8yo 9lb Chi/min pin. Hes dog and kid friendly. Hes house and pee pad trained. He is good in a secure fenced in yard and/or going for harness leashed walks. Hes very cuddly, affectionate, loves to sit with his people, on legs, on lap, beside and his morning belly rubs are a must. His foster momma says He rarely barks, doesnt shed who is a happy little couch potato, looking for love.

Sammys foster requires a home, where someone is home often, so not to be left for long periods of time, be allowed on furniture to be near his people, to sleep with his people along with leadership, consistency, structure and to continue working on training. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirements please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so arent always able to travel too far.

Sammy as all dogs should have at least 2 weeks in their new home with just their people who live in the home and to not have people over for at least 2 weeks. Dogs need time to settle in and adjust to their new people and environment first so they can learn to trust them first.

Sammy had a dislocated tail around 2.5 years ago which he saw a vet for and it has since healed itself. He isnt in pain, but he only has feeling in the first inch of his tail, starting from the base. This makes it difficult for him to wag his tail, but you can see some movement.

Sammys neutered, vaccinated, HW negative and microchipped. Currently in Elkins Park, PA. If your home meets the needed requirements and youre interested in applying to adopt please do so at www.tprescue.org
