Hi! My name is Sammie and I am a sweet 4-5 year old 12 pound Shih Tzu. I was found in need of some help with my overgrown, flea-invested coat. Once I got all cleaned up, my confidence came back!<br/><br/>Listen, I fell on some hard times so my trust in humans is sometimes a little shaky. However, if you give me a little time and treats, I will most likely let you into my inner circle. Once there you are locked in for life. My favorite thing to do is sit and cuddle with members of my inner circle. I can lounge all day! However, if you want to get up and go we can do that too. I am an excellent car rider and walk well on my leash. As long as I am with my people I am happy!<br/><br/>My second favorite thing to do is play with toys and my foster siblings. I may not be a spring chicken, but I can still be as playful as a puppy! I like all my foster siblings-other dogs, cats, and the humans too.<br/><br/>I am looking for a family who will be patient and give me the time to warm up.
