Sammie - adopted!'s Story

Muffin is just like her name- a fun treat, enjoyable at any time! Muffin is a compact, athletic one year old Cattle Dog Mix. Originally from South Dakota, she spent much of her first year waiting to be part of a family/home. In her foster home, Muffin learned how to get along well with other dogs and how to be around people.

Muffin is used to being crated at night and while her humans are at work. She has a good recall and greets new people nicely. Muffin is young and ready for some work at obedience classes so she can continue learning to be a good citizen. Weighing in at less than 30 pounds, Muffin is a small dog in size but big in attitude and personality. She is smart and learns quickly. Muffin has a good recall and loves running in the woods. Muffin is used to cats, kids, and dogs. She’s a versatile little dog, who would be happy at home with a family, or happy on the road as an adventure buddy.

There is not much little Muffin couldn’t do! Muffin's personality... she is not a super dominant dog, she is one that makes those little 'smiles' and lip licking stuff. She's pretty lighthearted and always happy to come running. She stays close and loves to chew on her toys. Her personality is pretty lighthearted, a little bit of a clown but also smart enough to hang with the big dogs. In the big world she's good now! Unsure but non reactive. She doesn't really need a herding family because I believe she is naturally a non-biter and she is a pretty smart female... she can run the show fine on her own. I think she is independent enough not to need too much from people. Muffin loves to chew. She also likes to be next to me while I cook. When outside, she enjoys bossing Murphy around. I should teach her a little obedience... but she's pretty great. Comes when she's called, handles crate time, likes to chill on her mat. Does love a box of toys.
