SAMANTHA's Story
MEET SAMANTHA!!!

Samantha is a ray of sunshine. Very eager to please, playful, and cuddly. She was rescued from a hoarding situation with multiple of her siblings by the AZ Humane Society, lived in the shelter for a few months, then came to our home in April of last year. She has been crate trained since day one, is house broken, and is working on her leash manners. Sam is a big chewer, loves the toughest kind of Kong toy and any shoe she can manage to steal. She has loved every person and dog she has met, but does have a tendency to chase cats - we did not allow her to interact directly. She is a very calm passenger in the car, used to a seat belt clipped onto her harness while riding next to another dog. When playing she does have a tendency to use her mouth, but knows not to bite forcefully. We have been working to stop this behavior. She has lots of energy, but also loves to lounge on the couch after playing for a few hours. Someone with enough time to dedicate to exercising her would produce the best version of her. She does get destructive when bored, having chewed up her bed, blankets, and outdoor furniture when left unsupervised. Sam thrived when we were able to take her to play with my parents dogs while we worked, but since that situation has changed, she does miss the companionship and enrichment it provided. She would do well in a home with a medium or large dog of a similar energy level.
