Sam's Story

Meet Sam - a 16 pound 3-year-old miniature poodle with the cutest bi-color eyes. Sam spent the first years of his life locked away as a breeding dog with barely any human interaction. Now that he's free, he is finally learning what it feels like to be apart of a family and is loving every second of it!

Hi, I'm Sam or as my foster mommy loves to call me her shadow. Now that I'm finally trusting humans, I just don't like being away from my foster mommy. I am a curious boy who is loving this new life! I get along with dogs, cats and most humans. Men still scare me a little, but I'm trying my best to trust them. I love going on walks and playing with my neighborhood puppy friends. My foster mom tells me that I am an excellent walker! I am crate trained, but I prefer to spend my nights sleeping with my foster mommy. I'm still working on this house training thing, but I wear my belly bands proudly.

Sam is still learning how to be a family member, so having another confident dog in the house would be best. Since he doesn't like being alone, he would benefit with having someone who is home most of the time. Even though he is amazing on a leash, a fenced in yard would be ideal.

Sam is neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines and preventatives, and ready for his forever family. Sam had a dental when he came into rescue and sadly had to have over half of his teeth removed. That doesn't stop him from eating, but he might struggle with large kibble.

If you are looking for your own shadow, then Sam is your man!!

Apply at www.zoeshouserescue.com
Zoe's House Rescue
Kennel License 9117
Sinking Spring, PA 19608
