Sam's Story

Meet Sammy, a beautiful, happy little dog who's ready to find his forever home!

Sam is a Pomsky- that's a Pomeranian crossed with a Husky - we tested his DNA to be sure! He's a featherweight, topping the scales at only 25 lbs, making him very easy to handle, the perfect size for kids, busy adults, small homes, etc.

He's the cheeriest dog we've ever met! His joyful personality is infectious, and when he looks up at you with those bright blue eyes, your cares will fade away.

Sammy arrived at Bertha's last winter needing groceries, vet care, and a chance to learn housedog skills. Thanks to quality dogfood and probiotics, he's the picture of health now, is housebroken, crate trained, and walks nicely on a leash. He's a very good boy!

Sam is very comfortable spending time in his crate while his foster mom works, but he's happiest when he's running and playing in the yard with a buddy. He would do best with a playmate, canine or human!

He's gentle with kids, doesn't nip, loves to chase toys, and is gentle around cats, although he might give chase if not supervised! Proper introductions and management to give cats safe spaces would be best to begin with.

But Sam's not always on the go; this sweet boy will quiet down and gently snuggle up to be loved on at the first opportunity. He'll gladly take all your pets and scritches and ear rubs, gazing his thanks with those crystal blue eyes. He's a charming little love bug!

Sammy is approximately two years old, neutered, heartworm negative and up-to-date on vaccines and monthly preventative meds.

If you would like to meet this little ray of sunshine and consider adding him to your family, please call, text or message us soon.
