Sam is a sweet, small (10.5) pounds who came into rescue after his original owners never came in to claim him from animal control. He's guesstimated to be 11 years old.
Sam was only 7.8 pounds upon arrival but has quickly gained weight and is on the schedule for his neuter and dental surgery.
His coat was dull and scaly but that too has changed!
Sam has been in foster with other dogs and doesn't really pay them any attention.
He's never been around cats so that would need to be tested.
When his foster Mom leaves he goes into his crate willingly and quietly.
As he is not yet neutered his potty training is about 50%.
He loves being with his person and would be an awesome companion for someone who is home more than gone.
Sam is up to date on his Rabies, Bordatella, DHPP, and has been tested for Heartworm - which came back negative.

Sam is scheduled for surgery 10-22-2026 and can be place for adoption shortly thereafter.

Seniors Rock Small Dog Rescue, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
Adopters must have a complete and approved application in order to meet a dog in foster. After the application is approved the adoption coordinator/foster will reach out and call/email the applicant to answer/ask questions. Based on the review the foster and applicant will either set up a home visit or request a video of the applicants home prior to bringing the dog for a meet. Oftentimes the home visit and meet can be done at the same time - it all depends on location etc. *We do not operate on first come first serve - dogs are the priority. Decisions are made on the best fit for the dog.
