Sam’s FAQs

What is Friends of the Animals Baton Rouge’s adoption process?

You must be 21 years of age or older to adopt.  You can fill it out an application in person at The Adoption House, 8476 Highland Road, Baton Rouge, or at FOTA sponsored off-site adoption events.    As our foster dogs live with us, we get to know their personalities and temperaments. We make every effort to find the right match between our dogs and their new families so that it can be a good and rewarding experience for all involved.   The adoption fee is $200 for dogs under 25 pounds and $150 for dogs over 25 pounds,. This includes the following: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, de-worming, microchipping and heartworm testing. Please contact us for more info
