Sam's Story

Heartworm Prevention is given on the 9th of each month

Sam and Dean are new arrivals to CTDR. They are extremely bonded and we cannot split them up. These two boys had been together since they were puppies and sadly their owner passed away and no one in the family could take them and they were dropped off at the local shelter. A post was made about them on Social media stating both boys would be put to sleep if a Rescue did not tag them and when CTDR saw this, we decided there was no way we would leave these two senior boys to be put to sleep. They are in the process of being vetted. Sam needs a dental badly, and is also partially blind. He is showing signs of early senility but vet felt it could be result of all the stress in his life recently. If you would like to add these two boys to your family by either adoption or fostering, please complete an application at www.ctdr.org.
