Salty's Story

SALTY is a beautiful Husky mix with a great personality and stunning eyes. She absolutely loves people and will immediately roll over for a belly rub if you show her any attention at all. She is loving and gentle with kids, but unfortunately not fond of all dogs, so best if she is an only pet. DEF no cats! She would be a wonderful companion for any adventure as she loves riding in the car and talking leash walks. She has been known to jump a fence, so adopter would need a 6ft privacy fence, although it's not necessary as long as she gets her leash walks. SALTY is 4 years old, 55 pounds, spayed and in great health. She was adopted a year ago and has been a fantastic pet. However, her owner has experienced a job change that will cause him to travel all the time, which is not a good situation for Salty. It breaks his heart to let her go, but he knows it's better for her as she would not want to be alone as she really attaches to her humans. SALTY is currently in the Phila. suburbs and will need a new forever home soon. Contact Patti at patti@therescueexpress.org

The Rescue Express's Adoption Policy

All potential foster families and adopters are required to fill out an application, both of which can be found on our website. Our foster families are our biggest resource, and the more foster families we add to our family, the more dogs we can save. Our foster families are required to provide a loving, healthy, temporary home for the dogs that we have pulled from shelters who have yet to find their forever families. The rescue covers all medical expenses while our dogs are in foster care. We also require our foster families to work with one of our trainers to address any behavioral problems that develop.
