SALLY - super smart girl's Story

If Sally could talk, she would have a sad tale to tell about her start in life. She was abandoned as a young puppy on the side of a road....malnourished and covered in mange. Thankfully, she was rescued and taken into foster care where she has received lots of TLC. Sally is now a happy, healthy girl ready and waiting to hang her leash in her forever home.

Sally's breed is a best guess. She's believed to be a shepherd mix…possibly with Australian Cattle Dog (aka Blue Heeler). She is 1 year old, and weighs in at 50 pounds. She'll likely stay in that range,. Sally is house and crate trained. She goes willingly and politely into her kennel when asked. This highly intelligent girl lets her foster mom know when it's dinner time or potty time. She also walks well on leash.

Sally is has interacted with children and gets along nicely with all. Typical of heelers, her herding instinct will lead her to nudge from behind when playing so older kids would be best. She is a bit shy when meeting strangers, but once she gets to know you, you’re her BFF.

Sally is a very trainable pup who bonds to her people. She will do best in a home with companionship during the day as she becomes lonely anxious if left on her own for long periods.

Sally gets along great with other dogs and we know she'd be thrilled to have a doggy companion. She was attacked by a cat so she's not a fan. She wouldn't do harm, but is inclined to chase them. This girl delights in being outside and would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where she can sniff around to her heart's content.

Sally is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccination. Her doggy bag is packed and she's ready to bring her loyalty and devotion to her forever home. Please email Chris at rescue3@earthlink.net for an application. Her adoption fee is $400.
