She is incredibly gentle, sweet, affectionate, and absolutely LOVES her people — especially children. Her favorite place? Curled up in your arms like a baby. <br/><br/>She has a soft, submissive personality and does wonderfully with small dogs. Bigger dogs can make her a little nervous at first, but once she realizes they’re friendly, her confidence quickly grows.<br/><br/>Salem is playful and loves chasing a ball. Bringing it back is apparently still optional. <br/><br/>She is VERY smart and highly food motivated, so training comes pretty easily when snacks are involved! She’s doing great with potty training on a routine, although she has decided rocks are much better than grass for bathroom breaks. <br/><br/>And this girl is a DREAM at bedtime! She sleeps quietly through the entire night without crying or needing potty breaks. <br/><br/>Salem is comfortable in her crate when her people are nearby and is still working on confidence when left alone during the day. She’s beginning to teethe but redirects easily to toys and chews.<br/><br/> Salem truly has the sweetest family-dog temperament — loving, playful, gentle, smart, and eager to please.
