Salami's Story

Salami is a 4-year-old, 57-pound Lab/bully breed mix who came to us as a stray from another area shelter. He’s currently a bit underweight, so once he fills out, he’ll be an even stronger, more solid boy. Thanks to time in a foster home, we have great insight into Salami’s personality—and it’s a fun one! He’s high-energy, goofy, and a little clumsy in the most endearing way. Salami is incredibly friendly and outgoing, and he absolutely loves being around people. If you’re looking for a dog who wants to be part of the action, he’s your guy. He enjoys toys—especially stuffies—and loves a good game of fetch. He’s also very treat-motivated and already knows “sit,” which is a great foundation for continued training. Salami is strong and still working on his leash manners. In the home, he does okay in a crate, though he’s not a big fan of going in at night. He seems mostly housetrained but may need a little patience in that department. He appears uninterested in cats and gets excited around other dogs, so a meet-and-greet would be the best way to ensure a good fit. We think he'd be fine with kids, but he may be a bit rambunctious for the littles. Overall, Salami is a happy, sweet, and energetic boy who’s ready to bring a lot of love (and laughs) to his future home. Apply at lvpeaceablekingdom.info.
