Sakari's Story
Sakari had found herself in a difficult position of being in animal control and stressed! She became at risk after a faulty placement landed her back there one month later. So we had to go save her before she faced an unfortunate ending.

Sakari is a 5 year old princess and is looking for her castle! She loves everyone she meets! She's good with kids and dogs of all sizes. She currently resides with a foster that exposes her to cats, chickens, and ducks with no issues.

The name Sakari is Inuit for "Sweet." She definitely fits this translation perfectly!

Sakari is crate trained, housebroken, rides well in the car, and enjoys going for adventures! Someone with husky experience is preferred as Sakari does have the typical husky sassiness. She can get mouthy during play time and will warn you when she does not want you to take something away from her. Overall, this girl is a dream and she'll melt your hearts once you meet her!

If you're interested in Sakari, please complete an adoption application online here: https://laststoprescue.com/adoption-app/

--------------------- About our process and fees----------------------

Our application: https://laststoprescue.com/adoption-app/

If you're interested in donating, sponsoring or volunteering please visit us at www.LastStopRescue.com or follow us on Facebook at www.Facebook.com/Laststoprescue.il!

We treat these dogs as individuals with needs and to that end all of our dogs will have been in fosters no less than two weeks, they will have at least started training if not attend weekly classes and get daily training at home with the fosters!

Which means our longest residents will be the best trained, as long as they're with us we're going to keep socializing and working through any issues they may have.

When you adopt from us you will have a very clear picture of the dog you're meeting and on going support!

Our Fees are as follows:
Senior dogs over 7 are $450
Adult dogs are $650
Puppies under 1 year are $800
Specific breeds are $900

With each adoption you will be...
1. Given up to four hours of free training (from the foster and coordinator),
a. Some dogs require additional free training hours before they can go home.
2. Full medical report of all findings,
3. All of the supplies needed for a new dog as we attain these for the care of each dog,
4. A full run down on their behavioral status, where they started, where they are and how far is left to go. This will be detailed in a training plan from us about what they can or cannot handle well and it will be discussed as much as needed!
5. On going support post adoption as long as needed!
We fully vet all of our dogs which is reflected in our adoption fee. On average we will pay about 600 dollars in medical per dog. Every dog gets a full blood panel, fecal/urine check, heartworm & tick panel and treatment if required, spayed/neutered, all shots and boosters, along with anything specific to their needs.
