SAINT's Story
FOR AN ADOPTION APPLICATION EMAIL animalcontrol@whitesidehealth.org

Meet Saint — and trust us, he truly lives up to his name. ❤️

Saint is 8 years old (confirmed by his previous owner) and came to us due to a family separation that changed the home dynamic. With the separation came longer work hours and more time kenneled. Saint, who had been used to companionship and routine, began experiencing stress from the extended kennel time and lack of energy outlet. As a result, some of his obedience skills have gotten a little rusty — but that’s something structure and consistency can absolutely rebuild.

Here’s what stands out most about Saint: he is deeply people-oriented. So much so that he has escaped his kennel more than once just to come lay quietly in the front office with staff. He doesn’t want chaos — he just wants closeness. If there’s a human around, that’s where Saint believes he belongs.

In his previous home, Saint lived with a 4-year-old child whom he absolutely adored. He was gentle, affectionate, and formed a close bond with them. His owner described him as child-friendly and loving within the family environment.

He has done well meeting other dogs here. However, per his previous owner, cats are not a good fit for Saint. He is housebroken and accustomed to living inside as part of the family.

Saint would thrive in a home that can offer stability, time, and an outlet for his energy — whether that’s walks, playtime, or simply being included in daily life. At 8 years old, he’s past the puppy chaos but still has plenty of love and loyalty to give.

If you’re looking for a devoted companion who bonds deeply and just wants to be near his people, Saint is ready for his fresh start. 🐾
