She is: House trained / crate trained, leash trained and already working on obedience, healthy, spayed, up to date on vaccines, perfect size at 30lbs for a couch buddy or adventure buddy (or both!), dog friendly and likely would do well with dog savvy cats with slow intros, 10 out of 10 cuddle buddy.<br/><br/>2/15/26-Sage is the best girl! Was spayed Tuesday and seems to be recovering well. In typical mischievous Aussie fashion, she has tried every which way to get her post surgery suit off, and actually succeeded once by continuing to rub her bum against the couch to undo the velcro. Yes this girl is that smart! Can’t wait to see how she thrives! She has perfect leash manners and is not shy. She shows curiosity in other dogs and signs of playfulness, with nub wags and play bows and would happily greet every person we walk by. She continues to be a pro snuggler and would be the perfect dog for a person or family who likes a nice balance of activity and couch time. Sweet Sage has lots of love to give and is ready for a family to call her own.<br/><br/>2/10/26-Sage (the smaller of the two in all pictures) is spunky, affectionate and all things Aussie! She has been a perfect house guest; picking up the potty outdoors routine quickly despite these cold and windy conditions, and is sleeping in her crate soundly at night. She is eating regular kibble without issue and appeared very healthy on intake. She loves pets, couch cuddles, and is great at giving kisses. I can’t think of a better valentine. Sage could be an only dog or be an addition to your pack. Her spay went well today & she will be ready for her new home in a few days. <br/><br/>2/9/26-Sage has been at her foster home since Saturday afternoon. She is very affectionate, sweet, seems to be doing well with potty outside and sleeping in crate. Loves pets and affection. Good with our dog, indifferent really to him so could be an only dog or with other dogs. Spay is tomorrow. <br/><br/>Here is also a comment from one of her transport volunteers this weekend: <br/><br/>“She is totally a sweetheart. I had the pleasure of transporting her. She rides very well.”<br/><br/>02/06/26-Sage is a sweet 4 year old female tri colored mini Aussie (miniature Australian Shepherd). She came in from a commercial breeder as they just didn’t need her anymore. We were told she was treated also as a pet & was trained to an invisible fence. She arrived into rescue today thanks to her transport & overnight volunteers. She will be spayed next Tuesday 2/10 & will be ready to go home soon after that.
