Sage (in foster)'s Story

Sage and her siblings came to the shelter after they were found living in a bathroom where they appear to have spent most of their lives so far. They were scared (and stinky!) and had no idea how to be dogs. They have all been in foster homes learning about doors, and leashes, and playing outside along. They are learning about treats, and toys, and soft beds and being loved and are becoming normal bouncy puppies. They have been in foster homes with kids, cats, and dogs and are ready to find new homes where they can grow up as part of a family! We recently discovered that Sage is deaf. Deaf puppies are remarkably easy to train! Other than being careful not to startle them when they're sleeping and being careful not to leave while they are asleep (a quick way to develop separation anxiety-can you imagine being a baby who wakes up and finds everyone gone??), they aren't much different than other puppies.
