Sage's Story
Meet Sage: CEO of Tennis Ball Retrieval & Splash Management

Hi. I'm Sage. I'm 4 years old, and yes... I know I'm gorgeous. Thank you for noticing.

My resume includes:

Professional fetch enthusiast (I never get tired. You will.)
Certified water quality inspector. Puddles, kiddie pools, lakes... I'll test them all.
German Shepherd extraordinaire with ears that can hear a treat bag open from three rooms away.

I'm great with kids and I do like to remind everyone that I could be in charge if needed. Think of me as management material. I also need to be the only pet in the home.

Cats? Jury's still out. I've never had one on my committee.

If your idea of fun includes endless games of fetch, adventures near the water, and having a loyal sidekick who's always ready for action, we should definitely meet.

Throw the ball. I'll handle the rest.

I may be happiest in a single-person home where I can form a strong bond with my person. I tend to become very devoted to one person and can be protective of both my favorite human and my home, so a home with fewer people coming and going may be the best fit for me. With a confident owner and someone who has experience with my breed and is willing to continue working on boundaries, socialization and manners, my peeps at the shelter think I will absolutely thrive.

If interested, please call the shelter at 231-861-5395 and leave a message to be placed on this dog's adoption list. No obligation, but it reserves your place in line on the list. The shelter will contact individuals as they appear on the list.

The adoption fee is $95 and you receive certificates for $50 towards spay/neuter and $10 towards rabies vaccine if not already done. All dogs are heartworm tested, receive a DHLPP, flea and tick treatment, and are dewormed.
