Sage's Story

I'm Sage. Full of Energy. Full of Heart.

I'm currently in Georgia, but my bags are packed, and I'm ready to travel to my forever home. Where are you? Could you be the family I've been waiting for?

Life is exciting, and I don't want to miss a second of it. I wake up ready to play, explore, go on adventures, and be wherever my people are. If you're grabbing a leash, throwing a toy, or heading out the door, count me in.

Being with my people is my favorite thing. I'll happily follow you from room to room because I simply love being part of whatever you're doing.

I'm still learning that hands aren't toys, so I can get a little mouthy when I play. I respond well to redirection, and with consistency, toys, and positive guidance, I'll continue learning good manners. I'm a smart dog who truly wants to do the right thing.

The shelter can be overwhelming for me. With so many dogs barking and so much activity, I sometimes come on a little strong around other dogs. Once I'm out of that environment, though, I settle down and do much better. Having space to decompress and someone to focus on makes all the difference.

I'm also pretty enthusiastic on leash at first. There's just so much to see! After I've had a chance to burn off some energy, I relax into a much calmer walk and really enjoy spending that time with my person.

I'd love an active family that enjoys walks, hikes, playtime, or simply getting outside. Someone patient who understands that I'm still learning and is excited to help me become the very best version of myself.

Because underneath all that excitement is an incredibly happy, affectionate dog who just wants to love deeply, be included, and spend every day by your side. If you're looking for a loyal adventure buddy with a heart as big as her personality, I think we might be the perfect match.
