Sage is looking for her forever person to connect with. She is estimated to be 6 years old and is a chihuahua mix. She may have applications in progress, but is currently available. <br/><br/>Sage came to Stop the Suffering from a rural county shelter after being removed from her home due to filthy living conditions. She is currently receiving treatment for a skin infection - but will soon be in tip top shape! Sage is the instant best friend type. She forms instant connections with people once she feels safe. She is super sweet and wants to be wherever you are as long as there are cushions. She prefers sleeping or sitting on elevated surfaces such as chairs or beds. She is housebroken and crate trained. Her favorite toys so far have been crinkle toys. As she gets more comfortable in her foster home she has become more playful. Sage has done great with the other foster dogs in the home but would prefer if they didn't stick their noses right in her face. She is great at setting personal boundaries. She has tried a few times to initiate play with a smaller dog in the home. This girl has been an easy housemate so far and would love a companion to call hers forever. <br/><br/>Adoption fee is $375 and includes spay/neuter, microchip, fecal/deworming, vaccines and prevention up to date. Ohio residents only.<br/><br/>STS is a foster-based and volunteer-run rescue. We do not have a physical location or set hours for you to meet dogs, and it does take time to answer each inquiry. All dogs are in foster homes and once an application is approved and a home visit is completed you will be able to schedule meet and greets with available dogs.
