Sage's Story
UPDATE 8/26:
Sadly, only 3 months after her first surgery, Sage had another flare of disc disease and was once again paralyzed. She had a second surgery and is out of pain, but her longterm mobility and continence is still very uncertain and her odds of a full recovery lower this time. She's a sweet tiny little frenchie girl, easy to carry and is cooperative for bladder expression and care, and will be fitted for a wheelchair soon once she's healed from her surgery. She's looking for a foster committed to her care while recovering, and an adopter who will love and care for her unconditionally, where or not she is able to walk. She has some skin allergies also being managed with diet... she got all the worst of the Frenchie genetics it seems like so many of these little ones bred and sold for profit with little thought of their longterm health needs.

5/26
Meet Sage! This 2 1/2 year old frenchie was surrendered paralyzed in her hind end, but after emergency surgery she's made an amazing recovery and is up and walking. She's recovering in a loving foster home where she gets along well with the other dogs and cat, has regained continence and is housebroken and crate-trained. She should avoid going down too many stairs, jumping off furniture, and gaining too much weight to prevent additional back injuries from recurring in the future. But otherwise she's a happy healthy girl ready to find her forever home. Please submit an application to meet her by appointment Primary Color: Brindle Age: 2yrs 11mths 0wks Animal has been Spayed
