Hi, I am Miss Saffron (Saffy) and my name fits my vivid and spicy personality. My foster dad says that saffron is actually more valuable per ounce than gold and that suits me also.

I’m just a puppy, and I’m still figuring things out. I’ve discovered that the world is a great place to explore, run, and play. That there are lots of people in it and I really love people, Big folks, little folks, everyone.

Before being brought to a shelter, I was roaming the streets with my brother so I was used to exploring and scavenging for food. The shelter wasn’t that great a place, I couldn’t explore anything there so I really wasn’t happy but thank goodness I wasn’t there long. A really nice human rescued me and before I knew it, I was living in a foster home.

I love it here at my Foster family where I have parents, 2 two-legged foster brothers, and 1 four legged foster brother (canine). I get to run, jump, climb, and ping-pong anywhere I choose. Well sort of, they keep telling me that it’s not polite to jump on the furniture uninvited, or to jump on my foster family or foster canine brother without permission. But I’m just so full of love and energy that it’s hard to contain myself.

I’m always wagging my tail and trying to kiss everyone one the face or wherever they let me. I really like to show how happy and loving I am and that you just can’t keep a good girl down!! Foster dad says I’m a great office Supervisor because I always know the right time to remind him to take a “pet Saffi” break, and I frequently fall asleep during those really boring conference calls.

Play time is my favorite time! I love playing with leaves, frisbees, grass, and bugs that move fast and fly, it’s all so much fun to chase!! It’s been great having play dates with other dogs and I really seem to get along with every canine, little or big. I am extremely good at fetch with a stick or with a ball and I even bring it back to you and “ Drop It,” so you can throw it again. With frisbees and other discs I’m not so good because humans don’t seem to get that those are not for “fetch,” those are for “chase me, chase you.” After a good hard energy burn I like to sleep sweetly at their feet for a while which I think is my foster mom’s favorite part. I’d say it’s a win-win for all involved.

I LOVE food and treats. I'm really smart and learning basic commands.

I really do love everyone and everything. If there is such a thing as loving too much then I’m guilty of it!! As a result, they say really little people need to be careful around me just because I am so enthusiastic that I may accidentally knock them down so I can cover them with kisses. I also am learning the difference between using my tongue to get things and using my mouth with my puppy teeth. I’m absolutely not aggressive in any way, I’m just still learning and energetic.

Saffron would do best in a fenced-in yard with a secure fence.

Saffron has been spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on all age appropriate vaccines.

PRIVATE MEET & GREETS: Submitting an adoption application is required before a private meet & greet will be scheduled. We will complete a pre-screening first to make sure that the dog you are interested in is a good fit for you. That way, we don't unnecessarily waste your time or the foster's time.

Our adoption fee is $300 and includes all age-appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. All of our rescue dogs are heart worm tested annually beginning at 9 months of age, and they are kept on monthly heart worm and flea preventatives.

The breed included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog.

We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
