Sadie's Story

Sadie arrived at our shelter with her pups, and she is now on her own. She has been cautious around new people but does warm up to new folks after a short grace period. She will walk on a leash with new folks and when she learns she can trust a new person she is very happy and outgoing. She truly enjoys the company of our other dogs and engages in play and zoomies. She weighs 53 pounds and will need some space to explore and a fence to set her boundaries . At approx 2 years old, her whole life is ahead of her and she is learning every day how to be a wonderful companion. This curious, well-behaved, housebroken girl will bring joy to her new home. We dont have experience with young children to know her compatibility. She will chase cats if given the chance. Sudden noises or disturbances will spook her, but overall she is affectionate and outgoing once the ice is broken in a new setting. She does very well indoors and is well behaved. She has recently been treated for heartworms and is clear!!

We are a rural shelter with high intakes. As a result, the shelter dogs are not guaranteed safety.
