Sadie's Story

From her rescuer and current foster:

"This is Sadie! For months we heard her crying across the little bamboo forest from our house. We thought she must be in her yard while her owner was at work and we nicknamed her “the mournful hound.” However, we recently found out from neighbors that her owner passed away in March and she’s been living on the back porch of his house since then. Someone was coming by to feed her, but other than that she’s been totally alone.

We were able to get permission from the woman who was feeding her to foster her and help find her a new home. She’s a VERY sweet little 25 lb senior dog (boston terrier mix) who would be content to cuddle on the couch for the rest of her golden years. According to the neighbors she has a history of doing well with children. We crated her overnight and she did great! She hasn’t barked at the cat at all."

Sadie is already spayed and up to date on vaccines. Her fosters did a senior blood panel and the vet reported she is in perfect health! She has no known health issues and pretty spry for being 10, too!

If you're interested in fostering or adopting Sadie, fill out an application today!
