Sadie's Story
I like to take my time getting to know you, but once I do, I start to come out of my shell in the sweetest ways.

My name is Sadie, and I've been here since 12/27/2025 after being surrendered by my owner. When it comes to people, I can be a little unsure at first, especially with handling. I appreciate when things move slowly and gently. Lately though, I've been making big progress. I've even started offering my neck when it's time to put my collar on, which is something I had to learn to feel comfortable with. Once I trust you, I really start to settle in.

Other dogs have actually helped me a lot. Being around calm, friendly dogs gives me confidence, and I've gone from feeling nervous to moving around with a loose body and relaxed tail. I enjoy hanging out with other dogs and can join in play, especially when the vibe stays easygoing. I'm not pushy about it, and I'm good at telling other dogs when I need space without making things escalate.

My energy is gentle and balanced. I'm not overwhelming, and I don't need constant activity. I'm more about building comfort, taking things in, and slowly opening up.

One thing to know about me is that I can be a little hard to catch sometimes, especially if I'm unsure in the moment. It's not me being stubborn, it's just me needing a little reassurance and patience. Once I feel safe, I cooperate much more easily.

What I need most is someone who understands that trust takes a moment for me. If you're patient and kind, I'll meet you there, and you'll get to see the softer, more confident side of me that's been growing every day.

If you're looking for a gentle companion who will build a quiet, meaningful bond with you, come meet me. I'd really like that.
