Hi, I’m Sadie! I’m a Dachshund mix weighing about 20 lbs and will be 5 years old in the spring. I am very affectionate and love to snuggle. I am easy to take care of, I love to sleep in, and I don’t bark. I only need a few walks a day to take care of business and smell the outdoors.<br/><br/>All my shots are current, I’m spayed and I’m house-trained. I’m loyal and also protective of my owner, which sometimes makes me growl at other dogs that I don’t know, so it’s best to keep me at a distance from them. I can also be a little shy around strangers, and I like the chance to warm up to them first.<br/><br/>My current owner is getting up in years and can’t take me for walks anymore, so I’m starting to put on some weight. I would benefit from a younger owner who can take me for longer walks. I'm used to being the only dog in the house and, although I get along okay with most other dogs, I really want to be your one-and-only.
