It was only around 10 o'clock in the morning, yet the temperature was already approaching 100 degrees. Both dogs were exhausted, dehydrated, and desperately struggling in the oppressive heat.<br/><br/>Little Katie was so weak from hunger and thirst that she could barely move. Through it all, Sadie refused to leave her side.<br/><br/>Despite her own suffering, Sadie's only concern was protecting her baby. She remained vigilant and watchful, making it clear to anyone who approached that Katie was under her care. Although both dogs are quite small, Sadie's determination and courage made rescuing them a challenge. She would not allow anyone near her daughter without first proving they could be trusted.<br/><br/>Eventually, rescuers were able to safely pick up Katie and place her in the car. What happened next brought everyone to tears. The moment Sadie saw her baby safely inside, she ran directly to the vehicle and jumped in all by herself.
