Hearts and Howls, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
Potential adopters must fill out an adoption application that provides 3 references. References are contacted by volunteers. All dogs have a meet and greet to be introduced to the family as well as any dogs or pets that live in the residence. Adopters can opt for a trial period where they see how the dog reacts to their family and living situation before confirming adoption. The length is on a case by case basis. Once adoption is agreed upon then a contract must be signed and logged with our director.
