Sabrina 's Story
Hi friends! My name is Sabrina! Did you know my name means patience and endurance? I think that fits me perfectly, because I’ve been patiently waiting for my forever home—and I just know my perfect match is out there.

I came to the shelter last summer when my owner fell on hard times and needed help. My sisters and I suddenly found ourselves searching for new beginnings. Each of them have since been adopted, and now it’s my turn!

A little about me: I’m a 4-year-old, medium-sized mixed breed gal, weighing around 50 pounds. I’m spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and up to date on my heartworm testing—basically, I’m all set to head home with you! I absolutely love people. Snuggles, snacks, and soaking up affection are some of my favorite things. I’ve lived with other dogs before and may do well with a canine companion again—as long as we get a proper introduction first. Cats, though? Those speedy, meowy creatures are just a bit too tempting for me to chase, so a cat-free home would be best.

I recently got to spend a weekend in a foster home, and I really shined! My foster mom said I did wonderfully, with very few accidents, and I loved staying close by her side. I even took my job of “keeping her toes warm” very seriously by sleeping at the foot of the bed. I met new people nicely and happily soaked up all the extra love and attention.

Now all that’s missing is a forever family to call my own. If you think I might be the perfect addition to your home, please come meet me Tuesday through Saturday from 10am–6pm. You can also reach out to my shelter friends at AVASCares2@gmail.com or call 989-348-4117 if you have any questions.

I can’t wait to meet you! 💛
