Sabrina's Story
Update 7/16/2026

Meet Sabrina

Sabrina is a beautiful 10-month-old Lab mix with a joyful spirit, a goofy personality, and just the right amount of diva attitude. She's the kind of dog who makes people smile simply by being herself.

Sabrina has overcome incredible challenges in her young life and has blossomed into an amazing companion. Despite everything she's been through, she greets each day with enthusiasm, happiness, and a zest for life that is truly inspiring.

She is a very social girl who loves meeting new people. Sabrina is often the first one to bounce into a crowd, happily spinning around to say hello to everyone. When she's had enough attention, she'll simply and politely excuse herself to relax on her own. She enjoys being social, but she's also wonderful at recognizing when she needs a little quiet time.

Sabrina absolutely loves other dogs and plays beautifully with them. While she enjoys regular daily playdates with canine friends, she does not currently live with another dog and is perfectly happy as either an only dog or with a compatible canine companion.

You may notice that Sabrina has a slight limp. As a young puppy, severe malnourishment caused two crushed growth plates, requiring orthopedic surgery. Because of this, her leg will always have some deformity, and she'll likely always walk with a slight limp. But don't tell Sabrina that! It doesn't slow her down one bit. She knows her own limits, taking breaks when she needs them before heading right back to the fun. One of her sweetest habits is quietly lying down after playtime with her sore paw gently crossed over the other.

Sabrina is fully potty trained and crate trained, making her an easy addition to her new home. She's a little spoiled, a little dramatic, and definitely a bit of a diva—but those qualities are exactly what make her so lovable.

More than anything, Sabrina is a reminder that difficult beginnings don't define the future. She embraces every day with happiness, resilience, and gratitude. Watching her enjoy the life she fought so hard for is nothing short of inspiring.

If you're looking for a dog with a heart as big as her smile, Sabrina is ready to fill your home with love, laughter, and endless joy.

KIDS OVER 12.

fromalonetohomerescue.org
