Sable's Story
Sable is an owner surrender who came to the shelter due to experiencing some anxiety in the home . While her exact triggers are unknown, she can have difficulty regulating her energy when she becomes excited. Sable is still adjusting to the loud and stressful shelter environment, but once in the yard, she actively seeks her handler for reassurance.

As she begins to feel comfortable, her playful side shines through with zoomies and a desire to find something to chew on. She's also been introduced to other dogs, which has shown to benefit her. Sable is less anxious with a canine pal around. She's likely to thrive in a home with another dog who can show her the ropes and build her confidence.

Sable is a very young girl with lots of potential, but she will need a home experienced with anxious dogs that can provide structure, enrichment, and training to help redirect her energy and chewing behaviors. Although her previous owner noted concerns about men, she has not shown any aggression toward men here at the shelter. Due to her anxiety, Sable would do best in an adult-only home that can provide patience, consistency, and support as she builds confidence .
