Sable

Sable is a 16 week old, 20 pound puppy in urgent need of a new furever home. She is a black lab/Akita/husky/boxer mix with puppy energy. She is a smart, highly trainable girl who needs structure, exercise and mental stimulation. Sable attends doggy daycare and interacts well with polite dogs, as aeen in the video. She enjoys family time and is currently living with a small child and parents. Unfortunately, their lifestyle is not a good fit for Sable, so they are making the difficult decision to find her the perfect furever home. <br/><br/>Sable is not spayed yet due to her age. She is due for her third distemper/parvo and rabies vaccinations at the end of May. She has received a lyme vaccination, has been on flea/tick/ heartworm preventative and her fecal test was negative. <br/><br/>Sable has shown some resource guarding with her puzzle toys, biting twice when they were taken away. This could most likely be improved with training, as she is still very young. Sable has been evaluated by a trainer who believes that her dominant behavior is from the Akita in her. Her ideal adopter will have breed specific experience, be willing to continue training, provide the structure and mental and physical stimulation that this beauty will thrive with.
