Meet Saber: The Sweet, Goofy Wiggle-Butt!<br/><br/>Saber, a 5 year-old blir male, coming to us from an Ohio shelter, is a wonderfully sweet boy whose nub never stops wagging! He is an absolute goofball who is always happy to see his people, making every homecoming a celebration. While not full "Velcro," Saber is a very affectionate companion who enjoys being near you. He'll happily come over for a lean and some loving when you're settled.<br/><br/>What Makes Saber Special?<br/><br/>House manners: Saber is a pro! He is fully house-trained and great in his crate, going in easily when needed. He only barks when he genuinely needs to go outside or when it's mealtime.<br/><br/>Ready to Train: This boy is very food-motivated and has reacted well to clicker training. He already knows "sit" and "come" and picks up new routines quickly. He's eager to learn and will thrive with an owner who wants to continue his training journey!<br/>Good with others: He has been fine with a small Schnauzer and has not reacted to the household cats (though direct interaction has been minimal). Outside, he is alert and interested in other dogs during walks, but is non-reactive and does not bark.<br/><br/>Saber's Ideal Home -<br/>Saber is a strong, handsome dog who has a lot of energy now that he's feeling better and needs an outlet!<br/><br/>Activity: would benefit immensely from a large fenced yard where he can run and play, or an active adopter committed to regular exercise.<br/><br/>Leash work: Saber is very scent-focused and strong. He needs an owner who understands how to use a gentle leader (which he is getting better with) to manage his strength and enthusiasm on walks. He has a high prey drive for squirrels and rabbits, so walks will require an alert handler.<br/><br/>Best Fit: He needs a loving home with someone who appreciates his strength and can commit to his exercise and training needs.
