Ryker's Story

5 yr old Ryker came to us because his family's circumstances have changed and they were no longer able to keep him.

House, crate and remote collar trained, Ryker also has a lot of basic obedience commands down as well. Come, sit, stay, drop it, leave it are all in his vocabulary!
Ryker needs socialization with both people and other dogs but once comfortable he responds well. He's a very "in your face" guy but is a submissive dog in his foster home. He will do well with another confident, active dog in the home. Ryker goes to doggie daycare and does very well with bigger dogs.

He is timid meeting new people and dogs and will bark at them if he is barked at. Once he warms up he's great!

Ryker is very prey driven so we think he'd make a great hunting partner. No small animals for him. He is a shredder so toys and blankets have to be monitored around him. He does not particularly like car rides and is pretty uncomfortable in them.

An active family, with a large fenced yard, children over 12 and another confident larger dog will be a great fit for this guy!

If you are interested in adoption please go to our site and complete an adoption application. www.gsprescuene.org New England residents only.
