Ryder’s FAQs

What is The Rescue Crew’s adoption process?

Thank you for your interest in adopting a pet through The Rescue Crew. Your desire to provide a loving forever home to a rescued animal helps us in our shared goal to “Save a Life Today” of a companion animal in need. The Rescue Crew is completely volunteer-run and our animals are currently living in foster homes so we do everything we can to learn as much about their likes and dislikes, temperament and activity level as we can. By doing so, it better enables us to work more closely with potential adopters like yourself, to help ensure a good fit for both the animal and the adoptive family. The adoption process might take a bit longer, and it may seem as though we’re asking a lot of questions, but our goal is finding a match that benefits both the animal and the family interested in adopting. Don’t worry about having the “right” answers. These are questions that we hope new pet owners find helpful and may not sometimes consider. The animals in our care have been through significant life changes and stresses, and many at one point were facing imminent risk of euthanasia. Because of this, our goal in this adoption process is to place the companion animal in a loving and responsible home, to make life-long matches for both you and the animal searching for their forever family. If you see an animal you are interested in, please apply as soon as possible via our website. This does not obligate you to the animal in case you change your mind, but may assist in securing your place in line for that animal or another one.
