Ruth's Story

Meet Ruth!

Ruth is a beautiful 9-year-old Rottweiler who finds herself with us at the shelter after her beloved owner entered hospice care. We’re looking forward to getting to know her as we search for her next forever home!

Ruth is a mellow, easygoing girl who enjoys the simple things in life, like leisurely short walks and spending time with her people. She’s friendly with everyone she meets and has been wonderful with cats! She doesn’t seem particularly bothered by other dogs lately, although she does have a brief history of dog reactivity. At 9 years old, Ruth has definitely mellowed with age and seems much more interested in taking life at her own pace.

Being in a shelter environment has understandably left Ruth feeling a little nervous, so she’s still taking her time to settle in and show us her full personality. We have a feeling that as she grows more comfortable and confident, we’re going to see just how special this sweet senior really is.

Ruth is looking for a loving home where she can enjoy her golden years surrounded by people who appreciate her gentle, mellow nature. She's up to date on all her vaccines, already spayed, and freshly microchipped! If you’re looking for a loyal companion who would rather take a short stroll and then relax by your side, Ruth might just be your girl!
