Rutger's Story

Hi my name is Rutger. I've been a resident at the shelter way too long. I am now about 9 years old living my senior years in a shelter.

I'm a neutered male from City Dogs Cleveland. I arrived at the shelter on August 4, 2020. I was + heartworm and finished treatment. I'm ready for a home with someone willing to help me lose a little weight. I weigh about 80 lbs. I'm the strong, loving, easy-going, friendly type. I am overweight and need to cut down on snacks. I don't do well in a crate, and I prefer to be free with my family and would be better in a single-story home. I have balance issues, and I take daily motion sickness medicine. I'm not keen on cats, and I'm selective about my dog friends. I'm already neutered, so I come with no baggage!
I love belly rubs and am looking for companionship. Please give me a chance to show you all the love I have to give.

Check out a video of me:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=6&v=-RaPkyEqyYA...

Wiggle butt and smiles, Rutger

If interested in Rutger, please fill out an application at: healthyheartsproject.org/foster

An appointment for a meet and greet is always required.

Follow and message us on our Facebook pages:
Meet the Dogs and Cats at Healthy Hearts ?
And
The Healthy Hearts and Paws Project ?
