Rusty's Story
I'm Rusty, a 17pound little guy who's having a tough time in the shelter. I'm a sweet dog once I feel safe, but this busy environment is overwhelming for me. I've been reacting negatively to being on leash, so I'll need patience, structure, and slow, positive socialization to help me learn the world isn't so scary.
I recently got neutered, so I'm rocking a cone while I heal. I'd do best in a quiet home with adults or older kids who understand that I need gentle introductions and calm routines. Small children would be too much for me right now.
If you're looking for a dog who just needs time, kindness, and a chance to decompress, I'm ready to show you how sweet I really am once I'm out of the shelter.
