Rusty

After being lost in Central IL for over a month, and then being trapped by FAHR a few weeks ago, Rusty finally made his way here and has officially joined our rescue. He is acclimating well in his foster home. Although he is really shy, he loves to snuggle with his foster family, loves toys and is a total couch potato. <br/><br/>Rusty is a golden retriever mix, approximately five years old. He has spent most of his life surviving the streets of Florida until he was trapped two years ago by a rescue. After being trapped he spent two more years in their shelter. <br/><br/>Rusty is very shy until he gets to know you. He loves attention and enjoys the comforts of living indoors. Rusty is a pretty chill guy and is very well mannered. He does good with calm/mellow female dogs but is nervous around rambunctious dogs. Rusty is also house and kennel trained. Rusty would not do well around rambunctious toddlers as they would make him nervous. <br/><br/>Rusty needs a family that is going to be patient and understanding of his shy personality. It won’t take him long before he starts doing the happy dog dance when he sees you. Rusty also requires a secure fence. <br/><br/><br/>Rusty’s adoption fee is sponsored (free).
