Rusty's Story
Meet Rusty! This 15-year-old little guy was found along the side of the road and brought in by animal control. He had a microchip that showed his age and name, but it was a dead-end as far as reaching owners. And none ever came looking for him. So he is now looking for someone to adopt him for his golden years! Adoption fee is waived for seniors, so apply to bring this boy home today!

Rusty is mostly blind, but he can hear. He gets around okay though struggles with his back end (potentially some IVDD as is common with his breed). Because of his age, we do not feel he is a candidate for any surgeries, but he is not in any pain and is a happy-go-lucky boy. He LOVES to be held and would thrive with someone who is retired or works from home to love on him most of the day. He barks when he wants your attention (and don't forget- he is a hound breed), so he would do best in a home, not apartment.

Rusty is available for adoption in state or out of state. We currently have transport options for people who can pick up in NY, Chicago, and Boston areas. If you are not in Houston, please note how you would plan to get Rusty. Apply at caitiesfosterfam.org/adopt
