Rusty's Story

Hi I’m Rusty! When I was 8 weeks old, I was thrown away because I had a broken leg. The breeders just dropped me at a kill shelter and never looked back. Thankfully, rescue stepped in and took control. As of 1/26/2021, I was medically cleared so I didn’t have to have my leg amputated! The vet says I need to stay lean and keep my boyish figure, so I don’t get too heavy and stress my leg out.

I can be a little shy at first, but when I get to know you, BOY am I a goofball and a lover. I love to be outside, and I especially love to dig, roll around, and nose in the dirt. I love to give wet kisses, and getting belly rubs is my favorite! I am a big love bug with a lot of love to give, and cannot wait to meet my furever family!

I can be picky with my dog friends sometimes, and because I’m so selective, a meet and greet with any and all dogs in the house is a must. My furever home should definitely have breed experience with Corso’s, and I'd be best in a home that is 18+.

Please apply at: https://luckydogrehab.org/adoption-info/
