Rusty's Story

Little Rusty was dumped with a couple other dogs in a rural area and some kind people have been trying to catch them. They set a live trap out and caught Rusty. He’s still a little “feral” because that’s what happens when dogs are in the wild for more than a day or two, they turn feral. He has been sleeping a lot since he got here. He will need lots of decompression and my staff knows to not mess with him during this time. It’s about decompressing to get him through this, not loving and cuddling….yet!

I love watching the transformation of a dog. Going from feral or petrified to happy and outgoing. Time is the best medicine ❤️

If interested in adopting, please go to dalistotherescue.com/adopt and fill out a pre-adoption application.

For any questions, CALL (989) 463 9797.
