Russell's Story

Hi I am Russell. I weigh about 12# and am probably about a year old. I came into rescue after I was found as a stray and nobody came to claim me. I am a very, very sweet boy, but I act like I didn't have too much human interaction, and I for sure was never taught anything. I have a ton of energy and I need a very active family, or a family that will do some type of training with me such as agility, scent work, or obedience. I would also do well if someone in the family would take me for long walks so I can sniff everything or someone that likes to run every day.

I can climb as high as 5' so I will need to be walked on a leash or attended at all times in a fenced yard. I LOVE to run and chase the other dogs in my foster home and do need a dog or 2 in my new home that love to chase that are 20# or less. I do love to chew bones and puzzle feeders can help me get some of my energy out. I am not a couch potato so, if that is what you're looking for, I am not your dog :). I do have to be crated if you cannot be watching me as I will find things to chew and tear up if given the opportunity.

I am working hard on my house training, but I do wear a belly band if my foster mom cannot be watching me. I am crate trained but I was not happy about it at first and I will probably bark and carry on while in the crate in my new home. Let me assure you that I do need a crate when unattended for my safety because I like to chew things I shouldn't. If you stick out a few days of me carrying on, I promise to quiet down and not hate being in my crate.

Because of my high energy, children - both resident and visiting - need to be 15 or older. If you think you would like to add me to your family, please email angelpawspet2023@gmail.com for an application. My adoption donation is $350.
